It was nice to be cavemen (and women) for a week. Thanks to Graham & Irene for everything. A wonderful area for walking. We’ll know about the hunting season next time!

  • Dear Graham and Irene, my owners tell me to say sorry for digging holes in your beautiful garden (it wasn’t me). This has been one of our most wonderful vacations ever! Thank you for being the best hosts and for sharing this small piece of paradise……

We really enjoyed our stay in ‘La Grande Cave’. Spent a lot of time in the swimming pool and in the beautiful garden. And what a thunderstorm! Thanks for the Valrhona tip, we had so many tastings that we were left with heartbeat and nausea after the visit – but please try it! We are impressed with your place and hope to come back!

    September 2016:

Absolutely fantastic place. Beautiful location set beside a river that’s deep enough to swim in. Loads to do on site including boules (proper court), swimming pool, badminton court, canoeing etc… – or just lazing in the hammocks. The location is very quiet – sorrounded by wooded hills. The local town has a good supply of shops and restaurants. The apartment we stayed in was really well fitted and massive. The owners Graham and Irene were extremely helpful and were able to give us loads of tips on what to do in the area. If you’re into walking, then there are lots of fabulous routes in the area.
